Mapco's Story

MEET MAPCO — HE IS LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME!

Mapco finally made it out of the shelter — and now we’re getting to see who he truly is in a home. He’s a big, fluffy, affectionate boy who just wants to be near his people.

Mapco is 3 years old and ~65 lbs. He settles nicely in the house, loves soft beds and toys, and will happily relax nearby while you go about your day… and at night, don’t be surprised if he tries to claim your bed as his too.

He already knows sit and paw, waits politely for you to throw his ball, and enjoys playtime followed by a good nap. He is house trained, signals when he needs to go out, and has done well being left out alone in the home while his foster family is away without any destruction. Mapco also walks excellent on leash so going on walks will be a breeze. Since being in his foster home, he has met a puppy and showed gentle curiosity. Because of his size and enthusiasm, a home with older kids would be best.

Health:
• Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped
• Heartworm negative
• No separation anxiety observed
• Had initial skin itching, which improved after switching to a salmon-based diet (likely chicken sensitivity)

Now that Mapco has been saved from euthanasia at a high kill shelter and is safe — what he truly needs is his person. He is the kind of dog that will follow you room to room, greet you with excitement, and love you with his whole heart. He is an awesome dog that is deserving of his forever family.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who just wants to belong, Mapco is ready and would love to meet you!

Apply to adopt at:
www.korasrescueranch.com

Remember - Sharing helps him find his family!
