Meet Manny

Meet sweet senior dachshund Zorro, also affectionately called Ol “Manny.” Manny came to Purple Paws in a very neglected state when his owner could no longer take care of him. He has since been caught up on shots, treated for fleas and ticks, wormed, neutered and given a dental. The vet says he has a heart murmur to watch and may need another dental in six months to remove any remaining teeth that are causing problems. A good vet reference is important for him. Manny has not let that stop him from enjoying life. His favorite things to do are to snuggle on the couch by his person and sleep in bed if you will help him up. He is accident free at night and has learned how to go outside using a doggie door. The only thing he is still working on is learning to not mark his territory and we are hopeful his recent neuter will help. He is a gentle, submissive soul. He gets along well with people and other dogs. His ideal environment would be quiet and calm. He just wants loved. Please consider adopting Manny so he can live the rest of his life the way he deserves.
