Mama Rosie's Story
Meet Mama Rosie. This sweet girl earned her name after being surrendered to Detroit Animal Control with her 4 babies, whom she lovingly cared for every step of the way.

Rosie is a people-loving cuddle bug who absolutely adores human attention. She'll wiggle her way right up to you for pets, snuggles, and affection. She is kennel trained, loves to cuddle, and is working hard on her potty training and learning not to jump up on everyone when she gets excited.

Rosie does need the right home to help her continue thriving. We suspect she may not have had much positive experience with other dogs in the past, or may have had to compete for resources, because she does show food aggression and must be fed separately. She seems unsure how to interact with other dogs and is still figuring out whether they are friends or threats, though she is trying. She should also not go to a home with small animals such as cats or chickens, as she has a strong instinct to chase.

Mama Rosie has so much love to give and is ready for a family who will understand her needs, continue her training, and give her the safe, loving home she deserves.

If you think Mama Rosie could be the right match for your family, please fill out an application here:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SMS/Dog
