Thank you!**

Meet Rachel Friends a 16-month-old Beagle mix, weighing 34.5 pounds (as of 12/26/25)! Rachel is a truly a wonderful girl who has more than earned a loving fur-ever home. Rachel was a pregnant cast member on The Real Strays of Mississippi and, despite her rough start, went on to give birth to six healthy, beautiful pups that we call the Friends litter (also adoptable!) Over the last two months, Rachel has been living with her foster family, where she has been nothing short of an amazing, devoted mom every step of the way. Now that her pups are thriving, it’s finally Rachel’s turn to be cared for. She's looking to upgrade her status to House Dog of New England!

She has a wonderfully sweet temperament and gets along well with other dogs and kiddos alike! Rachel loves the simple joys in life: lounging on the couch, exploring the yard, going for walks, riding in the car, and curling up for cuddles with her humans. If you're looking for an extra dose of sunshine in your boring life, Rachel is the girl for you!

Rachel is almost fully potty trained and only has the occasional accident, nothing that a consistent routine won’t quickly fix! Rachel is not a barker, so get ready to brag about her calm demeanor to strangers because they will be impressed! She’s eager to please and enjoys treats and bones as a reward for her good behavior.

After everything she’s been through and all the love she’s given as a mom, Rachel is more than deserving of a forever home where she can relax, feel safe, and be spoiled the way she deserves.

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

To adopt or learn more about Mama Rachel Friends, you must fill out an adoption application. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
