Mama Ale pup: IPA's Story

Age: 3 months old

Gender: Female

Breed: Terrier mix

Weight: 9 lbs

Personality: IPA is a high energy, sweet little girl! She loves to play and wrestle with her foster siblings, find leaves and sticks in the backyard, chew and play with toys of all kinds and cuddle up for a snooze any time. She goes in her crate easily, however she might take a little time getting use to a solo crate away from other dogs if she goes to a family where she is the only pup.

Education: Working on bathroom and leash training. Will need puppy lessons.

Favorite Activities: IPA loves to play and run around with her foster siblings. She is full of energy and loves hunting little treasures in the backyard like leaves and sticks. She loves chew toys and any kind of toy she can get. She also enjoys a good nap on a cozy blanket or lap. She has the sweetest permanent smile and will always be sitting close by waiting to be picked up and show you some love. She loves cuddling and is truly the sweetest soul! Her presence immediately makes you happy and any family would be lucky to call little girl part of their pack!

Looking for: A home with other dogs or kids or someone who leads an active/playful lifestyle. She has spent time with 4 foster siblings, one of which is her littermate, and the others are all different sizes, a 70 lb lab, 50 lb boxer and 20 lb shih tzu. She plays individually with all of them so she would be good with a sibling of any size or breed as long as they are playful, energetic and dog friendly of course.

Adoption Fee: $ 700

The Animal Pad's Adoption Policy
We prioritize local San Diego applicants. We do not provide transport of dogs to other states, and don't allow the dogs to fly in the cargo of the plane. Our adoption process from start to finish, involves 3 standard forms, and 2 situational. All potential applicants must be capable of providing their adopted pet with routine and emergency veterinary care (yearly health checks, keeping vaccinations current, heartworm/flea preventatives, and immediate care in the event the animal is sick or injured). They are required to license their pet, and keep an identification tag on their pet at all times. All applicants must agree to a home check, and provide us with a veterinary reference, or personal references if you're a first-time pet owner. Our home checks are not to invade the privacy of the applicants, we do this to ensure the pet is going into a safe home. We do not discriminate against non-homeowners, or those living in apartments, condos, or otherwise. Our adoption fees vary from $150-1000. Applicants must agree in writing that if for any reason they are unable to keep or care for their pet, the pet will be surrendered back to our rescue and not re-homed, turned over to a shelter, pound, rescue, new owner, sold, etc. Adoption Application: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
