~Mama~<br/>Our hearts are SO sad today..<br/> A few months ago, lovely, lovely Mama came to us from a very high-kill shelter as she was next up on the euthanasia list.<br/><br/> She came to us extremely emaciated, so scared & unfortunately when we took her in for vetting, we found out she was pregnant. All the odds were seemingly stacked against her.<br/><br/>As soon as she was healthy & ready, we found a home that looked like it was going to be her fur-ever.<br/> Well..people can be AWFUL & it soon became clear that despite our best efforts, she had not found forever after all.<br/><br/>Not only did her first adopter LIE on their application in order to bring her home, but they then passed her on to another family that starved & abused her into worse condition than she had been in when she first came to us...<br/><br/> We didn't know about any of this until the people who had ended up with her called us because the original adopters wouldn't take her back.<br/><br/>This beautiful, sweet girl has survived more than any dog ever should.<br/> Extreme abuse. Neglect. Hardship.<br/><br/>But she is still so soft. Gentle. Loyal. She leans into kindness like it's something sacred.<br/><br/>Despite her past, Mama is:<br/>~Sugar sweet<br/>~Affectionate<br/>~Calm<br/>~Gets along well with other dogs<br/>~Deeply bonded to her people<br/>~BUT no cats for Mama, please.<br/><br/> Mama deserves a life filled with nothing but love, snacks, love, and cozy naps.
