Malachi (JN25-408)'s Story
####

Meet Malachi!
Malachi is a 3-year-old Miniature Schnauzer who is learning to come out of his shell. He can be a little nervous at first, but with patience and kindness he's making great progress in building confidence with handling and happily taking treats. Once he feels comfortable, Malachi's playful personality shines through-he absolutely loves his toys and enjoys keeping himself busy with them.

Malachi would do best with an adopter who can give him the time, understanding, and encouragement he needs to continue gaining confidence. With love and support, this sweet boy will blossom into a wonderful companion.
He will need a calm, patient home with another confident dog to help guide him and model what trust looks like. With continued encouragement and consistent care, he has the potential to take those next brave steps toward connection.

-----
Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
