Hey, friends! My name is Major, and I am a 9-year old Pit Bull Mix who weighs 49.4 pounds. Don’t let my age fool you, I still have plenty of playful pittie energy in me!

I am so thankful for my Wish Bone family! Unfortunately, I was surrendered to a Chicago Animal Control in July when my owner passed away so the past few months have held lots of change in my life. I don’t let that stop me, I am very friendly, outgoing, and happy, although I generally tend to keep quiet.

I previously lived with another female dog, but I need slow introductions with other dogs and monitored playtime to make sure everyone is comfortable.

I take treats very well from my humans, I have pretty good leash manners, and I keep a clean kennel at my new shelter. I hope to find my forever family soon so I can share all of my love and energy!

His minimum adoption fee is $145 plus a $15 fee for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
