Maisie's Story
Fassssst wee lass!MEET MAISIE!

Once lost with her mama and siblings, this lucky little gal was chosen to come to Tara’s House so she wouldn’t have to spend her puppyhood in a shelter kennel. Initially scared of the world and unsure of how to walk on a leash or what toys and couches are for, her cuddly and curious side has emerged while in her amazing foster home.

Maisie is the sweetest, cuddliest puppy. Only about 6 months old and currently about 25 lbs, she is a hound mix (we know what her mom and siblings look like, but not her dad) so we think she will remain a medium size as full-grown. Her foster pawrents report that she is incredibly smart, active, energetic and agile. She loves fruits, peanut butter, carrots, celery and strawberries - and the way she sticks her little tongue out is the cutest thing ever. She also has amazing ears and the cutest curly tail! Her favorite toy is a Kong filled with yogurt and peanut butter, and she absolutely loves playing fetch.

Smart little Maisie is doing really well with potty training and hasn’t had an accident in a while. YAY! She is crate trained and will go in at bed time (but will steal a cuddle in your bed if you let her!) or when you need to go out and do people things. She has met teenagers and did great! She is not mouthy at all and just likes to lick and give kisses. “She will be a perfect family dog!!!”

Although she is a little shy when she meets new people, once she feels comfortable she will cuddle you to pieces. She also does amazingly well with other dogs and lives with a resident dog and a doggie cousin who comes over often. The little pack is adorable and Maisie is learning the ropes from them - to include “Sit”!

Maisie’s adoption donation fee is $450, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip. You can apply for her by filling out our online application, which is found on our website www.tarashouse.org. Please email us at info@tarashouse.net with any questions.

More about Maisie
Up-to-date with vaccinations
Good with dogs
House trained
Crate trained
Spayed
Color: Champagne
