Maisie's Story
Meet MAISIE

Maisie is a gentle senior NAP QUEEN! You will often find her in her bed tucked away to herself!

Once awake, this beauty queen greets you with kisses and full body wiggles!
Maisie at this time is fully potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside.

Maisie appears to be fully deaf and partially blind, so she uses her nose to inspect her surroundings.

Maisie LOVES sniff walks and is a good walker! She is very strong once her nose catches something of interest (as her sense of smell is the strongest sense for her), but I've been working on hand signals to communicate with her when she is pulling a little too much. She is very handler oriented and is eager to please people!

She LOVES Stella & Chewy's freeze dried beef patties -those are her favorite !
Maisie has shown signs of being open to meeting doggie friends , but she prefers a slow approach! Maisie is VERY friendly to ALL people-including strangers.

Initially showed signs of separation anxiety in foster home, however no longer displays those signs after the decompression period! Important for interested home to follow decompression protocol to ensure a smooth transition.

Due to Maisie's suspected partial blindness and fully deaf nature, it's important to establish a routine as well as leaving her bed in the same places for her to recognize. Once she knew her surroundings, she settled in very quickly.

Maisie loves her "spa days" where she receives medicated baths for her skin, nail trimming and ear cleaning! She is very tolerant of all handling to date!

Maisie loves stuffies the best and also adores her nylabones-as she will chew on one in her bed for hours!
