Maisie's Story

(This is a courtesy posting, this dog is not a CHEW Dog Rescue dog and we have not met him/her. The information provided comes from the dog's owner)

? Meet Maisie ?

Maisie is a 2-year-old, 40 lb terrier mix (we see some Boston + pittie in there) who made her way from Texas to Washington for a fresh start and a happily-ever-after. She's spayed, healthy, up to date on all vaccines, and so ready to be somebody's heart dog.

Maisie's personality is all sweetness & goofball. She loves toys and balls, does her best "short-leg zoomies," and then is perfectly happy to curl up and nap for hours. She can entertain herself, isn't a big barker, and will usually only give one "alert" woof if she thinks you should check something out. Her favorite things in life are kisses, snuggles, and hanging out near her person.

She's wonderful with respectful kids and has done well with children of many ages in foster, but because she used to guard her food, we are looking for a home with older kids/teens only who can follow rules and give her space at mealtimes. She's made great progress with her food manners, and we're very proud of her – we just want a family who will continue the routine of giving her a peaceful spot to eat with no one bothering her.

Right now Maisie is looking for: an only-pet home, a family where someone is home often (a retired person, work-from-home, or hybrid schedule would be perfect). She doesn't need constant activity, just the comfort of her person nearby. Ideally a fenced yard for sunbathing and little zoomies, though this isn't a strict requirement if her exercise and potty needs are met with walks.

Maisie is incredibly easy to love and very easy to live with. She doesn't ask for much, but she will give you absolutely everything she has in return.

Maisie is currently being fostered in Everett, WA and is available for meet-and-greets. If you're looking for a loyal, kiss-giving shadow with the cutest ears and wiggle, Maisie would love to be your girl.

For any questions or interest, Maisie's foster mom, Soniya (myself) can be contacted via Facebook messenger, email (Soniya.Moon.Becerra@gmail.com) or text (253-397-6393 - please text first only)

CHEW Dog Rescue - Canine Health Education and Welfare's Adoption Policy
We require a completed adoption application first for any dog that is adoptable. You can find a link for this on our website at CHEWDogRescue.org/adopt. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations, before being placed in their forever homes.
