Maisie's Story

Maisie came into the shelter with her puppy, Max, who has been adopted. She is exceptionally calm, easy going, and gentle. She is low energy and requires minimal physical activity. She enjoys exploring her foster’s fenced backyard and going on short walks but spends most of the day lounging. Her current foster family has both young children and small dogs and she has done well with them. It is unclear whether she has ever lived inside as a family pet, but she certainly seems housebroken and walks well on a leash. She can be timid and will need patience as she builds confidence with her new family. But if you are looking for a loyal companion who is low maintenance, she’s your girl!

Pitt Friends's Adoption Policy
Thank you for considering adopting from Pitt Friends! The first step in our adoption process is filling out our application, which you can find at pittfriends.com. If your application is approved, the foster family will reach out to you directly to arrange a meet and greet at a mutually agreeable time and place. We do not have a shelter facility. All of our animals live in foster care full time, in the homes of our volunteers. Our adoption fee is $200 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, deworming, and any other medical care that is required prior to adoption. A home check and vet reference are required prior to adoption. Each dog has different needs, so if one particular dog is not the right fit for your home, we may be able to recommend another that is a better match!
