Magy's Story

Meet Magy!

Magy is one of those dogs who has so much more to her than first impressions. Underneath all the bravado and "big feelings" is a funny, affectionate, goofy girl who absolutely loves her people and settles beautifully in the home.

She currently lives with five other dogs and, once proper introductions are done, she does wonderfully with them. She plays, cuddles, wrestles, and naps alongside her canine friends happily. Magy would do best with an experienced dog owner who understands that while she may come in loud and opinionated, she truly enjoys having dog companionship once she feels safe and comfortable.

At home, Magy is actually quite the couch potato. She loves snuggling up, lounging around the house, hanging out in the yard, and supervising the neighbourhood for squirrels, rabbits, and suspicious bird activity. She's full of personality, complete with dramatic little "chuffs," enthusiastic yard patrols, and very committed squirrel surveillance.

Magy is friendly with people, loves affection, and gets excited to see her humans, but she also settles down quickly and enjoys simply being near you. She's disinterested in cats indoors, though outdoor critters are another story entirely.

Magy's biggest challenge is leash and barrier reactivity toward other dogs. She has lots of opinions on walks and can be quite reactive when seeing dogs through windows, fences, or on leash. Because of this, she's looking for a calm, structured home with a secure yard and adopters willing to continue working with her. She's not a beginner dog, but for the right person, she has so much potential and so much love to give.

Adoption fee: $695
