Maggie's Story

Hi, I’m Maggie.

For more than two years, I survived outside a Dollar Tree, hoping someone would leave me something to eat. I learned to keep my distance and take care of myself because that was the only life I knew. When ADA rescued me, I was pregnant, and because they gave me somewhere safe to land, my nine puppies were born warm, protected, and loved instead of outside.

Every single one of my puppies has found a forever home. Now I’m the one still waiting.

My foster says I’m one of the easiest dogs to have around. I love spending time outside, but once I’m back inside, I’m quiet, content, and happy to relax. I have one little requirement before I head outside: a few kisses on my head. Then I’m ready to go.

I’m about 3 years old, house-trained, great with kids, and dog-friendly.

I’m gentle, loving, and easygoing. After spending so long taking care of myself and then raising nine babies, I’m finally getting the chance to just be Maggie.

I watched all nine of my puppies get chosen.

I watched all nine of my puppies get chosen. Now I’m hoping someone looks at their mama and realizes she deserves a family, too.

I spent years surviving outside. I’m ready to spend the rest of them at home.
