Maggie's Story

Meet Maggie! She's still very much a puppy with her first birthday coming up in October.

One of our volunteers rescued her from a home that could not give her the attention a puppy needs. After 3 months the volunteer's landlord said she could not have 3 dogs at the property. She did her best to try and find Maggie a new home, but did not have any luck.

We believe that she is a Treeing Walker Coonhound mix.

According to the volunteer that rescued her, Maggie does well with dogs, kids, cats, and kittens. She's a sweet girl that needs consistent training to become the best dog she can be. She loves to play and run around in the yard. A good chew toy will satisfy her needs to chew--something like Benebone or Nylabone is a good choice.

All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered (if they are old enough) before they leave the shelter.

Please fill out an application if you are interested in this dog or call us today for more information

Because we are an all-volunteer organization, please call ahead to schedule a time for a Meet & Greet so we can ensure a dog handler is available to show you the dog or dogs you are interested in.

Pet Adoption League

1526 N.
