Maggie's Story

Apply to adopt at: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TRRA/Dog

Maggie may be 11, but don’t tell her that—she’s far too busy ripping around the yard with her signature zoomies and soaking up every bit of life she can. This sweet Northwest Farm Terrier came to us alongside her daughter, Sabrina, after their beloved owner passed away, and she’s been nothing but a bright, happy presence ever since.

Maggie is the best kind of easy: she loves people, does great with kids, cats, and other dogs, and settles in quickly wherever she lands. She’s got a little arthritis that shows up on stairs, but otherwise it doesn’t slow her down one bit—she’s still playful, spunky, and ready to be part of the action.

When Maggie first arrived, she had some skin issues that left her uncomfortable and a little patchy—but with good care and some TLC, her coat is growing back beautifully and she’s feeling so much better. You can see the difference in her—she’s lighter, brighter, and clearly enjoying herself again.

Maggie and Sabrina have spent their whole lives together, and while we know it’s a big ask, we would love to see them land in a home as a pair. They’re an easy, lovely duo who will bring double the love (and double the snuggles) to the lucky home that takes them in.

If you’re looking for a dog who proves that age is just a number—and who still has plenty of joy, love, and zoomies left to give—Maggie’s your girl.
