Maggie's Story

Miss Maggie May is the perfect companion dog. Maggie is estimated to be around 8 or 9 years young and full of life and energy. Maggie was a stray in Indiana and not much was known about her. She was rescued by SIRA and in foster care for a few months to solve some medical issues; however she is perfectly healthy now! This gal loves attention! She'll follow you till the ends of the earth (on a leash of course) gently requesting pets by resting her head on your feet or lap. She also LOVES to play fetch. She has a very distinct prance that pops up when she's really into some intense fetch games.

Maggie is a people pleaser who loves to meet new people. She's great with babies, and young children. She's super well behaved as a guest in other people's homes as well. With other dogs, Maggie needs the first meeting to be perfect otherwise she'll be cautious and aloof. We've noticed that after a few socializing attempts she opens up and has no problems cohabiting or playing.

Maggie would be best with someone who would be able to spend a lot of time with her because of her strong connection to who ever is taking care of her. She'd be perfect for any environment whether it's the suburbs or the city (she currently is living in the city). She's the perfect apartment dog because of her calm and quiet demeanor. She's up to date with her shots and completely vetted. This special Shiba is looking for her perfect furrever home!

If you think you'd be a good fit to adopt Miss Maggie May, please contact adoption@savingshibas.com
