MAEBELL's Story
Maebell (A566257) did not have the easiest start when she first arrived as a stray. She was scared, unsure, and very protective of her space, trying to make sense of a world that suddenly felt overwhelming. After just a few short days, she is a completely different dog. Now settled into our adoption area, Maebell has started to show her true self. She can still be a little timid at first, but her trust comes quickly, and once it does, she is incredibly affectionate. She loves treats, enjoys being close to her people, and has a gentle, sweet nature that is hard not to fall for. She walks nicely on a leash and already knows how to sit, making her a great companion for someone looking for a dog who is both loving and manageable. During her first few days here, Maebell made a special friend named Khaos, and the two got along wonderfully. While Khaos has since been adopted, Maebell showed us just how well she can interact with other dogs. She takes corrections from them with ease and handles social situations appropriately. Maebell may have had a rough beginning, but she has not let it define her. She is ready to leave that behind and find a family who will see her for the sweet, loving girl she truly is. If you are looking for a gentle companion who just needed a little time to feel safe, Maebell is waiting to meet you. Maebell is guesstimated to be 4 years old and weighs 50 lbs. All dogs adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are spayed/ neutered, microchipped, dewormed, appropriately vaccinated, and receive a topical 90-day flea/ tick preventative. Ready to meet Maebell? All you have to do is stop by our shelter at 4950 Triana Blvd and head to our dog areas. You can find her in kennel D7. All adopters must be 19 years or older with a valid ID
