Madora- Prison Program Graduate's Story

Madora graduated from the "Making Pawsitive Changes Prison Program" where she had 6 weeks of basic manners training. Here is what her trainer's have to say about Madora: <br/><br/>"Hi, My name is Madora! I'm a 9 month old, 70 pound mixed breed girl. I am very loving and love attention and having fun, although sometimes I get really excited and mouth, but never in a harmful way. I want to play with all the dogs- my friends in the program are: Scrappy, Chopper, Macy, Jade, and Taq. My play style with other dogs is chase and light mouthing and wrestling. I value playing fetch with my human above all else! I am very toy motivated. My average day looks like: potty firtst thing in the morning and then I go to the day room to chill and train to be calm when I see other people and dogs. Then after a rest I usually get 2 leash walks/leash sessions a day. I also get 3 five to ten minute sessions on learning my cues. I know sit, down, situp from a down position, touch, middle, shake, night night, rollover, wait, stay, come, and partially know heel. Some of my behaviors that I am still working on are: more fully understanding heel, not pulling when I see other dogs or when I just want to play. I am motivated by toys, treats, and praise. My ideal home would be a loving family with kids and/or another dog to play with. What you should also know about me is I am crate trained and I LOVE to cuddle- I am a cuddle bug. Please do adopt me and give me my dream home. Sincerely, the loving, playful, big pup Madora!"
