Meet Madison! This sweet girl with the most expressive ears is two years old and 15lbs. She's an easy to please dog - belly rubs, attention, and a warm lap are all she asks. After being rescued in Texas Madison has settled right in to her New York foster home - she's ready to meet you! Her foster says: "Madison (Madi) is a wiggle worm looking to brighten your day one happy dance at a time. Though she recently had puppies, Madi has all the puppy energy herself. Madi is a sucker for a good belly rub and will give you kisses as a thank you for every scratch. This little lady bonds quickly with her trusted human and loves being near her person. She will follow you room to room and guilts you with puppy eyes & a happy dance into stopping for scratches. Her tail truly never stops wagging Madi is still getting used to the hustle & bustle of the city and appreciates verbal encouragement on walks especially in busier areas. True North Pet Rescue Mission's Adoption Policy

First Step: Submit Your Application True North does not issue blanket approvals, we consider the needs of each specific dog when reviewing applications. If you don't have a specific dog in mind when applying, please note this on your application so that we can keep this in mind when reviewing. We require home photos for all applicants, but can accept a video replacement. Please enter as much detail as possible on your application, this helps us better understand what you are looking for and how this relates to the needs of the dog you have applied for. For puppies under 12 weeks, we require a care plan. This includes a plan for when the dog will be left alone, as puppies younger than 12 weeks should not be left alone longer than 2-3 hours at a time. Please Note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, it is not always possible to reply to everyone. If your application is approved, you can expect the following. Second Step: Application Review & Approval 1. If your application is approved, an email will be sent connecting you with the dog's current foster. At this time, you may schedule a mutually convenient time to meet. 2. After meeting, you have 24 hours to confirm if you would like to move forward with finalizing the adoption. After this, if we have not heard from you, we will begin scheduling other meets. 3. If you choose to finalize, we will issue an adoption contract via email. Once the signed agreement has been electronically returned along with the adoption fee (which will be disclosed prior to adopting), you will be all set to coordinate for pick-up with the foster! Adoption Fees: Our adoption fees are comparable to those found amongst other well-known rescues in the city. We only accept electronic payments for adoption fees.
