Madeline – Shepherd(?) mix – 4 yrs – Female (53lbs)<br/> <br/>Say hello to our sweet mama, Madeline. This poor girl was found in a humane trap on a large property. When they found her in the trap, they realized that she had just had puppies. They were able to find the pups under a trailer close to the trap. We were immediately called and asked to help this scared mama and her babies. They were transported to our “mama-foster” where Madeline was able to care for her puppies in a safe, quiet environment. Once the puppies were weaned, Madeline came to our shelter where she’s settling in nicely. <br/><br/>Madeline is so good in her kennel! She has no accidents at all and is likely housebroken. Madeline is still cautious and unsure of new people, but once she does, she’s a sweetheart. She is well-mannered and gentle. Madeline enjoys going on walks, but is easily frightened when she hears loud noises. We’re working on that. She enjoys playing with other dogs and has a gentle play-style. It’s so heartwarming to watch her open up and play; she looks so carefree and happy. We don’t know what all this sweet mama has gone through, but we’ve made it our goal to make sure that the rest of her days are filled with kindness and love.
