Maddie's Story
Meet Madilyn (Maddie), a 4-year-old Husky/German Shepherd mix ready for her forever home. She is a joyful, resilient, and affectionate companion, embodying a perfect blend of playful spirit, and loyalty. Maddie was found wandering the streets, scared, and hungry. Unfortunately, her owners linked to her microchip declined to claim her. Her foster mom learned she spent her life outdoors, with little training, socialization, and attention.

Maddie is a social butterfly who loves people, including children, making her an ideal family pet. She enjoys walks, fetch, swimming, and relaxing on her blanket with her foster mom. Maddie absolutely loves hugs, kisses, and snuggling in her foster mom’s lap.

She is intelligent and excelling in obedience classes at Stephanie Bennett’s Believe in Dog Training in Houston, thanks to a 2025 scholarship. She has mastered walking on a gentle leader, which helps manage her reactivity when passing other dogs.

Maddie has a clean bill of health; her hips have been evaluated and are in good condition. She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations.

Given her breed mix and size, Maddie will thrive in a home with experienced large dog owners, or those committed to consistent training and care. She needs an adopter who can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and guidance. If you're looking for an affectionate, goofy girl, Maddie looks forward to meeting you!

Texas application: https://form.jotform.com/CLMR/TXAdoptApp

Out of state application: https://form.jotform.com/CLMR/oos-adoption-application
