Macy's Story

Meet "Macy"!

Macy is a sweet 8 month old, 40lb. Retriever mix who might also have some influence from the Great Pyrenees and Australian Cattle Dog breeds.

This girl loves to play and would do best with a doggy pal to play with or an active family (or both!). Macy's personality is pretty "happy-go-lucky". She is crate trained and has had no accidents in her foster home. However - her foster mom is able to let her outside every few hours. And that set-up would probably be ideal for her as she is a young dog still trying to master going outside. Macy has been exposed to cats and did ok - however she is very playful and might prove to be an annoyance to a "chill" kitty friend.

Macy loves her toys and makes sure her yard is critter free. She is ok on leash - a little rambunctious, but that is common for a dog her age. She's not a big barker - and loves people. She is a very social dog.

Requirements for Macy include a fully contained/fenced yard and children 5 and up. Macy is fully vaccinated, spayed, heartworm neg (and on prevention) and microchipped. If you think this sweet girl could be a match for you, please send an inquiry through Petfinder or email us at compassdogrescue@gmail

The adoption process includes and application, a phone interview and a home visit if the rescue believes you to be a good candidate.
