Mackey

Mackey is a 2-year-old, 11-pound little guy with a gorgeous blue merle coat and some seriously amazing eyes. One is bright blue, and the other has its own unique coloring. He's definitely a dog people notice.<br/><br/>Thankfully, he's not just a pretty face. Mackey is a friendly, happy little dog who likes people and usually warms up pretty quickly. He seems to take to women a little faster, but overall he has done well with everyone he's met.<br/><br/>Well... almost everyone. The vet may not be on his Christmas card list. Ha!<br/><br/>Mackey does well with other small dogs. Bigger dogs can intimidate him, so if there are larger dogs in the home, we'd want them to be gentle and introductions taken slowly. He's also been good with cats.<br/><br/>At home, Mackey is generally a pretty calm guy. Take him somewhere busy or exciting, though, and sometimes his 2-year-old brain kicks in and he gets a little overstimulated. Nothing terrible happens-his inner puppy just comes flying out and suddenly there is a LOT more Mackey than there was five minutes ago. <br/><br/>He does well on a leash and enjoys getting out and exploring. He rides well in the car, likes toys, and we're putting crate training in the "maybe" category for now.<br/><br/>Mackey is a fun little dog with enough puppy left in him to keep things interesting, but he isn't bouncing off the walls all day.
