Mack's Story

Meet Mack, a sweet, shy puppy who was found as a stray in Wai'anae, eagerly waiting for a loving home. Mack is a sensitive boy who finds the shelter environment to be very scary. Because of that, he often appears to be very shy and timid in his kennel. But with patience and calm encouragement, Mack's playful nature begins to shy. He's been neutered and microchipped, ensuring he's ready for a new beginning. He's looking for a family that will look past his shyness and help him to learn that the world isn't such a scary place. Hawaiian Humane Society's Adoption Policy

A photo ID is required at the time of all adoptions. Hawaiian Humane operates on a first come, first served basis, if you complete a questionnaire for a particular pet online, that does not reserve the pet. To best serve you, check in at least 30 minutes before closing to meet with an adoptions representative. Please note that if you wish to conduct a meet-and-greet between your dog and one of our available dogs, due to the high volume of visitors, you may be asked to wait outside our gate with your pet until an adoptions representative is available or reschedule for a different day.
