Macey's Story

Here's what my friends at the shelter had to say about me! "Macey is the definition of friendly. She's happy, smiley and so outgoing. I don't think she even knows the meaning of the word stranger. She was a tiny bit jumpy but honestly it was cute and it didn't bother me at all. She had a great temp test and met so many dogs through the fence. I'm confident she's dog friendly, which I almost never say. She literally tried to lick inside the other dog's mouth. She's also hilarious because if I paid attention to another dog she would crawl over my knee and sit right in front of me like she was saying hey don't forget about me. She's just awesome."

Bark About It Rescue's Adoption Policy
We utilize a foster to adopt process, whereby dogs are placed with a prospective family following the acceptance of their application including a vet reference check and a home check. Following foster placement the rescue follows up with the family to ensure it is a good fit for the dog and family's respective wants and needs. If the foster period is successful, the adoption can be formalized with an adoption contract.
