Meet Macaroni
Senior Hearts Rescue and Renewal is the only licensed senior dog rescue organization in Western Pennsylvania. We do not have a shelter or a public facility. ALL of our dogs reside in foster homes in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area.
We are a 100% volunteer organization. Please respect our volunteers' time. If a dog is listed on PetFinder, he/she IS available for adoption. We cannot reply to messages, phone calls, and emails about a dog until we have received, reviewed, and approved an adoption application.

Completing this application is the first step in our adoption screening process. You MUST complete the application in its entirety in order to be considered as a potential adopter. I am 11 years young and weigh about 29 pounds. I'm a very healthy "young senior". In fact, once you meet me you may not even believe that I'm a senior!
I'm an athlete! I'm super strong. I love my long walks. Hikes are even better. The farther we go and the longer we hike the better. I also am fantastic at playing fetch. I hope you have a good throwing arm. I run super fast to fetch the ball or toy.
I am a friendly guy. I greatly appreciate all the pets and hanging out by you in the home.
I like other dogs. But I don't think tiny yappy ones would be for me. I don't need any of that yapoy nonsense.
I'm in good health. I am house trained and crate trained. I am quiet when left alone. I am a very good boy!
I can be adopted within a two-hour driving radius of Pittsburgh, PA. If you are interested in giving me a furever home, you must first complete the adoption application at
