My name is Macaron, but my foster mom calls me Marco. We think I was born in November of 2022, and I was found towards the end of January wandering the streets of St. Paul. My family didn't come to pick me up from Animal Control so Save-A-Bull welcomed me into a foster home. A few days after coming into rescue I got very sick. With the help of several medications, extra fluids, rest and lots of love, I slowly started to get better. Today I am a happy, healthy and bouncy boy! At first when I came into rescue I wasn't sure what to do with all the care and affection. At times I can be a bit skittish. I have been learning that snuggles and belly rubs are good and my human foster sisters love it when I give them kisses. I am working on sitting before I eat, going potty outside and not putting my very large paws on the counter. My foster mom is helping me to learn how to play appropriately with the resident cats and dogs by providing verbal prompts and sometimes having me take a break in my bed. My foster mom tells me that she has never had such a happy and energetic puppy! I love to play fetch and almost always bring the toy back to my humans. I follow my foster mom around the house and sleep at her feet while she is working from home. One morning I even followed her into the shower! She calls me her little shadow.
