Macadamia's Story

Mac: One Curious Nut
If curiosity were a puppy, it would be Mac.

MacadamiaMac for shortis a happy, affectionate little explorer who approaches life with enthusiasm and a wagging tail. Whether he's investigating a new toy, meeting a new person, or sampling the local vegetation, Mac is always ready for his next adventure.

And yes, he does have a particular fondness for greens. Grass, dandelions, garden plantsif it's growing, Mac has probably considered giving it a taste. Fortunately, he responds well to reminders that the garden isn't being grown for his personal use.

Mac is a social butterfly who loves people and confidently greets new friends. He has been getting lots of exposure to children and has handled it beautifully. When the adventures are over, he's just as happy to settle in for cuddles, sit at your feet, and shower your toes with kisses.

Like all puppies, Mac is still learning his manners. Housetraining is progressing well, and crate training has come a long way. He has mostly stopped protesting crate time and can comfortably spend a few hours in his crate during the day, with even longer stretches overnight without accidents or destructive behaviour.

Mac currently shares his foster home with an adult dog called Brewster. While Brewster is still deciding how much puppy energy he wants in his life, Mac has been wonderfully respectful of corrections and gently checks in from time to time to see if playtime is back on the table.

Overall, Mac is exactly what you would expect from a classic puppy: playful, curious, affectionate, and eager to learn. He enjoys toys, sticks, exploring the outdoors, good meals, and spending time with his people.

This little nut is ready to crack open a lifetime of adventures with his forever family.

Born: March 31st, 2026
Breed: Husky/Shepherd mix
Gender: Male
Size: Expected to be medium/large
Activity Level: Puppy
Cats: Yes
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Yes
Adoption Fee: $395

If you are interested in meeting Macadamia, applications can be found here:

http://mgpr.weebly.com/dog-adoption-application.html

The adoption process starts with an application form to find out more information about your family to ensure the best fit for the dog. Applications can be found at http://mgpr.weebly.com/ Second step is to have reference checks and vet checks. We want to ensure all dogs go to responsible loving homes. Thirdly, is the meet and greet with the dog you are interested in adopting. We encourage all members of your family to be in attendance at this visit as the dog will be an integral part of all of their lives. The final step of the adoption process is a home visit from one of our team members. The home visit allows us to see the environment in which the dog will be living as well as to offer any tips and advice to making your home dog friendly. Then your new family member will come home to shower your family with unconditional love.
