Meet Mable! At just 4 years old, Mable has already been through so much and handled it all with strength and love. She arrived at the shelter with her 8 newborn puppies, only a few days old, and spent the last 9 weeks selflessly nursing them into the healthy, happy pups they are today. Now that her job is done, it's finally her time to be the one taken care of. We're not sure of her breed mix, she might be a little bit of everything, but what we do know is she's 100% heart. Mable walks beautifully on leash and appreciates the calm things in life. She hasn't shown much interest in making dog friends, and after raising 8 babies in a shelter, who could blame her? What she needs now is a peaceful home, a cozy bed, and someone to show her the love she so freely gave to her puppies. We are open 12-5pm daily for you to come meet our wonderful adoptable animals. If you would like to submit an application prior to your visit please head to ahscares.org/adopt and click the Newark link to begin your application. Please note no application is approved prior to meeting the animal you are interested in adopting, so please come to the shelter & bring the family to meet a pet.
