Meet Mable <br/><br/>Some dogs make you wait to fall in love with them. Mable isnt one of them. Just a week into foster care, this bouncy, affectionate Lab mix has already won over everyone shes met: happy, wiggly, and full of life from the moment she walks in the room. Shell greet you with enthusiastic kisses and get as close to your face as she possibly can, because as far as Mables concerned, theres no such thing as too close to her people.<br/><br/>Shes got that perfect Lab combination of energy and snuggles, bouncy and active one minute, a giant lap dog the next, always happiest right next to you. At around 45 lbs, shes got some growing left to do, but her personality is already fully formed.<br/><br/>Mable settles beautifully into crate life and sleeps soundly through the night (though shell let out a little whine if she hears fun happening without her!). Shes potty trained, walks well on leash, and loves nothing more than putting her nose to the ground and exploring. Shes already showing real interest in ball retrieval, too.<br/><br/>Shes fantastic with other dogs, and in her short time in foster shes also met cats, donkeys, chickens, and sheep with nothing but curiosity and respect. Shes whip-smart and extremely food and treat motivated, picking up new skills fast; right now shes working on not jumping when she greets people and improving her recall, and making great progress.<br/><br/>Mable is looking for an active, social family who loves long walks and outdoor adventures, then curling up together at the end of the day. A fenced yard would be a dream for her zoomies, and while she doesnt need another dog in the home, shed absolutely thrive with a canine sibling or a household full of people to love.<br/><br/>If you want a best friend wholl keep you moving, make you laugh, and then fall asleep on your feet, Mable might just be it.<br/><br/>Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. <br/><br/>Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. <br/><br/>Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog.
