Meet Mabel!<br/><br/>Mabel is a beautiful 3-year-old Yellow Labrador Retriever mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. She came to us from Texas with a litter of puppies, and after being a wonderful mom, all of her puppies have found their forever homes. Now it's Mabel's turn to find hers! Mable previously lived as a stray with a pack of dogs near Houston, Texas. She was rescued just in time to whelp her puppies inside.<br/><br/>Mabel can be a little timid when meeting new people and in unfamiliar situations, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet and affectionate personality shines through. She loves treats and is eager to make friends with those who offer a tasty snack and a little patience.<br/><br/>This lovely girl is housebroken and has excellent manners in the home. Mabel would thrive in a quieter, calm household where she can continue to build her confidence at her own pace. ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org. Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possible. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed.
