MABEL's Story
Meet Mabel!

Mabel is a 1 to 2-year-old Pit Bull Mix with a joyful spirit, a loving heart, and enough personality to light up any room. Rescued by local police and brought to the Trenton shelter while heavily pregnant, Mabel began her journey to a better life just in time. She moved into foster care when her puppies were only 24 hours old and has been thriving ever since.

This sweet girl truly has never met a stranger. Mabel loves everyone she meets and is incredibly dog-friendly. In fact, she'd be happiest in a home with another playful dog to help burn off some of her youthful energy and keep her company. While she still has that fun, puppy-like enthusiasm, she settles down quickly and is always ready for snuggles after playtime.

Mabel appears to be housebroken and has done very well in her foster home. She's eager to please, food-motivated, and already knows a few commands, making her a great candidate for continued training. She's currently working on her leash manners and learning not to jump when she's excited, and she's making great progress.

An active family would be a perfect match for Mabel. She loves getting out to explore, going on adventures, and being part of the action. Because she can get excited and is still learning her manners, she would likely do best with children age 10 and older. Mabel is also quite athletic and can clear a 4-foot fence, so she'll need supervision when enjoying time in the yard.

Mabel is fully grown at about 45-50 pounds, up to date on shots and will be spayed with adoption. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will make you laugh, keep you active, and then curl up beside you for cuddles at the end of the day, Mabel might just be your perfect match.

If you would like to meet Mabel, or for more information, please email PetRescueOfMercer@gmail.com or put in a non-binding dog adoption application on our website: https://www.petrescueofmercer.org/dogadoptionapp

Applicants must live within 60 min of Hamilton, NJ to be considered. A vet check will be conducted for each application and a solid vet history for current and past pets will be verified.
