Mabel 's Story
Mabel is an affectionate 8 year old lab mix. She is the life of the party and loves everyone she meets. While she’s technically a senior, this gal has a lot of life and love to give.

Mabel loves playing in the yard, going on adventures, and learning new tricks. She’s as smart as she is energetic, and gets along with kids, dogs, and even cats. Mabel knows basic obedience commands, is crate trained, and potty trained. The hard work of the puppy years are behind her, but she’s still got lots of energy and excitement to bring to her new retirement home.

Mabel is very high energy, like a true lab! She will need a family that can keep her mentally & physically stimulated. She's currently in training to help with her leash pulling and how she greets dogs outside of the home. She's also shown signs of fence guarding. All things that she is working with a trainer on. Mabel will thrive in a home with a strong leader to help continue her training.

Mabel had a toe amputated. Toe was sent to biopsy and was cancerous. There is a likelihood that Mabel will need to have additional toes removed down the road. Her adopter should be consistent with with yearly/ bi yearly vet visits. And keep an eye on her toes.

She's being fostered in Salt Lake. Her adoption fee is $200. If you're interested in learning more about her, please text 385.244.0431 or email adoption@goldenbarkfoundation.org .
