Lyra (A141196) is a 15-week-old Lab mix puppy who weighed 30 pounds on intake! 03/08/26 Lyra is back due to no fault of her own! Lyra is a hefty puppy full of energy! Her most recent owners said she happily followed them around the house and was a big snuggle bug! But her exuberant energy was not greatly appreciated by their preschooler. So while Lyra was super happy to try and play, she just doesn't have the experience yet to know how to play with little kids carefully yet. So a kind, patient, family and slow, controlled introductions with all new friends is what Mrs. Lyra is looking for! In typical puppy fashion, she will need continued help with potty training, kennel training, basic commands, and positive socialization. Please keep in mind that puppies are a lot of work, but she is worth the reward! We have found Lyra to be quite the talker while at the shelter, and she is looking for a patient owner who will help her as she grows! We do not know if this girl has experience with children or other pets. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with all new people and animals to help set her up for success.
