Lyra's Story

Meet sweet, loving Lyra. This poor gal was found stray and abandoned and soo undernourished. The shelter took her in, and she had 3 puppies. However, due to her circumstances, and the real bad start the puppies had, they ultimately didn't survive. But, this poor gal was a fighter and put on weight and is good now. She is house trained and sweet and was good in a home. Unfortunately she did test positive for heartworms but she's already being treated and shows NO signs of being affected by it and should be fully recovered within a year. She's able to run, play, go on long walks. Just loves being with her person or will patiently wait until her person comes home. She's super sweet and will stay in the yard or in her kennel. However, at this time it is advisable for her not to be in the same home as other dogs. She would make a wonderful companion as a single dog. She is fine on walks. Please e-mail leicaspaws2014@gmail.com for an application and to give this sweet dog the home she deserves.
