Meet Lynyrd Skynyrd
LYNYRD SKYNYRD
DOB/AGE: 1-20-2015
SIZE (GROWN): 65-70#
I'm a very (VERY!) active boy! I love to run around the play yard for hours. I get stir crazy if I'm cooped up for too long, so it's really important to me that I find a family who will play with me and exercise me regularly - and that means actually playing with me, not just putting me in the backyard! I am DEFINITELY NOT an apartment dog, or a dog for first timers! I'm friendly and smart, and my Animal League friends say I have lots of potential, I just need a confident and experienced owner to help me realize it! I need some help redirecting my energy - as friendly as I am, I am most definitely NOT a "first time" dog! I tend to be a little dominant and too active for most other dogs, but I'm open to a Meet & Greet to see if I'll be a match for your family! I do great with children who are confident around dogs. For children who are timid or shy, I may not be a great match.
I am a Sunshine Fundraiser pet. As a non-profit, The Animal League does not receive funding from the government. My additional fee helps The Animal League pay for major medical bills and keep on rescuing and saving lives. Read more about the Sunshine Fund here: https://theanimalleague.org/sunshine-fund/
All our dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, receive monthly flea and heartworm preventative, and are micro-chipped with registration.
If a pet is listed here on Petfinder, then YES, we are still taking applications! Please call our center for details about meeting them (352-429-6334).

Please keep in mind that puppies under 16 weeks (4 months) will require an approved application prior to a Meet + Greet, as will all canines in foster care. To determine how old a pet is, please see birthdate above. To determine location, please call our center at 352-429-6334.
If you are planning to drive out to visit a specific doggie, please call the Adoption Center in advance (352-429-6334) to ensure they are ready for a Meet & Greet. Most of our dogs are located at the Adoption Center in Groveland FL, and can be seen during business hours. We are open Monday, Friday, Saturday 10-6, and Sunday 10-5. We are CLOSED Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
In addition to the pets at our center, we do have some pets in foster care. Please call before making the trip out to avoid disappointment.
We work hard to find best match, and this doesn't always mean first come, first served. To understand our adoption policy, please follow the link below, which explains everything in detail.
