Lyle (and Julia) BONDED's Story

Julia and Lyle, or the twins as I call them, are probably 5 or 6-year-old 50 lb Hounds. They're very cute and sweet, and they really love each other and are absolutely a bonded pair. They came from a HORRIBLE situation in Wilson North Carolina where there were 42 surviving dogs amongst their dead, starved pen-mates. When they originally came to the rescue, they weighed about 30 lbs, and they had Heartworm and tick-borne disease, and they were not feeling so well physically. Thankfully, they did very well through treatment for the heartworms and the tick-borne disease, got to a healthy weight, and they started playing and showing so much happiness and energy. They do not try to escape their yards when they are out in the five or six foot fenced areas. When they're inside, they're very good going into their crates and sleeping there through the night and in bad weather. Since they came from their hell-hole directly into the rescue, they've never been in a home of their own, but again, they've come a long way toward appreciating all the good things in life. The pair walk beautifully together on a walk, and honestly, miraculously will even let squirrels and deer and bunnies cross the road ahead of us and remain well-behaved on their leash They seem to like other dogs and now they even like cats, because our feral cat trained them that cats are their friend. I haven't seen them around children, so I think a home with all adults or older children would be ideal. If interested, please text 804-248-3042 or email trampsrescue@yahoo.com. Thank you.
