Luz's Story
My name is Luz – Spanish for light. Even though I have been bounced around during my young life, I am still the light shining in the pack. As near as we know, I’ve been at the shelter maybe more than once. My most recent family only had me a couple of months. Then they decided that my exuberant, playful, loving self was just too much of a behavior problem for them and they surrendered me. Things they described are not what my foster sees at all.

The shelter says I am a Border Terrier mix. The vet says I’m a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. Whichever it is, I’m of the Terrier family and we think that I am about 2 years old. I weigh around 7# and that is all pure joy and happiness. I absolutely LOVE to snuggle and cuddle. I am definitely a Velcro pup. I get really excited and need help learning not to jump on people when I want their attention.

I also like playing with other pups about my size. I use the doggy door and do my business outside. I am crate trained but prefer to be running with the pack. I ride quietly in my carrier in the car. I don’t like being left alone for very long so I need a family who has someone home much of the time. I can jump really high and I am creative at getting out of a x-pen so if I need to be contained for a short time, it will have to be in an enclosed crate. I love belly rubs and sleeping on the bed with my person. Other pups joining me are fine. I sleep through the night until about 5 AM when I need to go out. Then I’ll return to bed and sleep some more. I’m not much on toys. I prefer people instead. Can you give me a stable home with at least one loving lap?
