Lux 26-0694's Story

Lux came to the shelter as a stray. He was quite an elusive fellow who took some time to capture - typical husky! Once his time on the lam came to an end he happily walked into his kennel and started the next phase of his life. Lux is very easy going and confident. He He's happy to go along with whatever you have planned for him but can also just chill in his kennel when its not his time to be out.
Lux has met a couple of dogs and is happy to sniff them and say hello. If the other dog isn't interested he just goes on his way. If the other dog wants to play he's up for that alsoLux needs to be further tested with other dogs but so far he seems like a sociable guy. Lux hasn't had any formal introductions to cats, but he has sniffed them through the cage and he is pretty unbothered by them (have we mentioned how chill this dude is??). Further exploration on his feelings about cats will be needed, but so far, we'd put him in the "cat neutral" category.
With people Lux is very husky-like and initially aloof. He's polite, and relaxed but he doesn't look for attention or affection. He was easy to handle for initial vetting and very polite when he needed to be restrained for a blood test (unfortunately he is heartworm positive).
Lux is still a man of mystery, but as he settles into life at the shelter more of his personality will come out.

I weigh 54lbs
My energy level is moderate/high
I would like to live with other dogs, people who are experienced with the breed.
Want to meet Lux?
