Luna Lou's Story

Luna has been living with her current foster since May 2025, and during this time she has shown herself to be a sensitive, sweet, and quietly brave girl. She may be a little cautious at first, but once she feels safe, her loving and affectionate personality truly shines.

Luna can feel anxious around unfamiliar people—especially men—and may bark when she’s unsure. For this reason, she does best with patient, understanding adopters who are willing to give her time and space to warm up. Slow introductions are key, and in some cases, meeting more than once can make a big difference in helping Luna feel comfortable and confident.

At home, Luna is incredibly attached to her people and loves being close. She knows several commands, including "sit," "shake," and "touch," and is a wonderful house companion. She is fully house-trained, has no history of destructive behavior, and can be trusted in the home—truly a little lady! The only thing to note is that trash cans should be kept secured, as Luna has an undeniable weakness for the smell of chicken.

Luna enjoys going on walks and being outdoors. She can get excited when she sees squirrels or unfamiliar people, but she and her foster are actively working on these behaviors, and she continues to make progress with guidance and consistency. At home, her favorite activities include tug-of-war and other food-based small games.

Adopting from foster is easy!
