Luna's Story
Luna Is Looking for a Quiet Place to Feel Safe Again

Luna is currently at a local animal control after her owners were evicted from their apartment. One day she had a home, and the next she found herself in a loud, unfamiliar kennel — a place that is overwhelming for a dog as gentle as she is.

Luna is incredibly sweet. When you kneel down and call her, she slowly walks over, climbs into your lap, and presses her whole body against yours like she's been waiting for permission to feel safe. She isn't pretending to be a lap dog — she truly believes that's where she belongs.

She isn't demanding.
She isn't high-energy.
She just wants to be close.

Luna is dog friendly, and while we haven't seen her with cats yet, we're confident she would do well with children given her calm, affectionate nature. What she needs most right now is peace — a foster home where she can exhale, decompress, and wait for her forever family somewhere quiet and loving.

We would love nothing more than to get Luna out of animal control and into a foster home — or even better, directly into her forever home.

If you can offer her a couch, a lap, and a little patience, you could completely change her world.

Foster: www.roversdoover.com/foster
Adopt: www.roversdoover.com/adopt

Please Note: This dog is currently still under the care of another agency. Rover's Do Over is a foster-based rescue, and until we are able to officially pull Luna from animal control and place her into a foster home, the information we have is limited. Once Luna enters our care, we will be able to provide more detailed updates regarding her personality, behavior, and needs.

Luna doesn't need saving — she just needs someone to let her rest their head on their heart for a while.
