LUNA's Story

Luna is a beautiful long-haired Chihuahua weighing about 7 pounds and estimated to be around 6 years old. She and her younger sister, Stella, came to us as owner surrenders after experiencing far too much change and heartbreak in their lives. These sweet girls have lost two owners and suddenly found themselves with nowhere to go.

Because of all they have been through, Luna can be a little cautious at first. Change is scary, and when your world keeps being turned upside down, learning to trust again takes time. But beneath that uncertainty is a loving little dog who desperately wants a forever home where she can finally feel safe, settled, and loved for the rest of her life.

Luna and Stella can be adopted separately, but they do share a very special bond. They adore each other and love curling up together to sleep. Luna is crate trained, very quiet, and enjoys spending time outside wandering in a securely fenced yard. Her leash skills are still a work in progress, and she will occasionally use a puppy pad, but she does go outside and potty right away, so we believe that with time, patience, and consistency, she could be fully housebroken.

Luna does well with other dogs close to her size, though she seems a bit fearful of large dogs. More than anything, she wants a home where she can play with her toys, feel secure, and know that this time, love is forever. $350

If you would like to meet LUNA please complete an application for adoption, copy and paste this link into your browser

https://fs17.formsite.com/adoptionscc/form1/index

Any vaccinations/boosters due after adoption is finalized will be the new owner's responsibility. All animals are current at time of adoption but in some cases a booster series is required or a vaccine cannot be given due to age and cannot be completed prior to adoption

Our adoptable animals come to us from various sources, the most common being from an animal shelter who is unable to handle their physical or mental needs in the shelter setting but believe with the appropriate care, they can become adoptable.
