Luna's Story

Luna is all puppy!
Luna may have come to CCHS with her puppies, but that didn’t change her style. Luna is loving life as a 1-year-old, wanting to jump, run, chase, play, and absolutely loving her walks. Although she is still learning her manners, on and off leash, Luna is a girl after your own heart when she gives you those big puppy eyes.

Luna is treat-motivated and will definitely be more willing to do anything you ask of her when you’re offering her some of the goods (those good treats!). Luna is very active and needs a home willing to provide walks, runs, exercise, and—most of all—attention and love.

Luna came in with another dog (excluding her puppies), so with a slow introduction, we’re sure she would do okay with other dogs. Luna is young, impressionable, and willing to learn, so she should adjust well. Luna does seem to have a bit of a prey drive when it comes to cats, so cats may not be the best fit for her.

Although she is young, we’re not sure if Luna has ever been around children, so introductions will need to be done slowly, with an understanding of her size and body language. Luna will be a great best friend for a family looking for an active pup to keep them moving! 🐾🐾🐾

Cheboygan County Humane Society's Adoption Policy
We do not hold available/adoptable animals as we are a first come first serve facility. However, we do place animals in homes that are best fitting for that animal. If you rent, please supply your landlord's information as we cannot adopt until we speak to them directly or have something in writing approving the animal(s) allowed. If you are interested in us matching you with a forever pet, please fill out an adoption questionnaire below for us to know a little bit more about you! Please keep in mind we do require vet checks and meet and greets with other dogs in the home. It normally takes 30 + minutes for the adoption process. Please be patient and ask questions! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/12nUph8lBvpdwzrAo8-zrLyiyQV3NQ259N6VMrLq7veo/edit
