Luna's Story
Meet Luna: A Story of Hope & Healing
Luna came to Out of the Woods Rescue after suffering a serious injury—a broken leg. She was in so much pain, but we knew with the right care, love, and support, she’d have a chance to heal and find her forever home.
We are so grateful to the veterinary hospital & their amazing team of doctors & nurses who reached out to us to help sweet Luna once they learned she would be facing humane euthanasia due to her current owners being unable to provide medical care for her.
Thanks to our incredible supporters, we were able to get Luna the urgent medical care she needed, with surgical correction of her fracture with some nifty new hardware! Luna is now in the recovery phase, and with each passing day, she's showing us just how strong and resilient she is!
But Luna’s story isn’t over. She still has a ways to go before she’s fully healed, but she's proven to be so resilient we wanted to start her journey for her new home.

Luna has a few more weeks of healing time before she can run full force again. She will be spayed prior to adoption, in addition to updating all of her vaccines and microchip.

Interested in adopting? Please visit https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/OOTW/Dog
