Luna's Story

This playful, sweet girl came into rescue after being found on the side of the road and never claimed. She's an amazing dog and would make the perfect addition to someone's home.

Luna is a young dog, full of energy and a zest for life. She loves wrestling with her foster siblings—cats and dogs alike. Luna loves attention, is very food-motivated and is very happy to play with toys. She enjoys chasing a ball and will find the squeaker in any toy to try to remove it.

Luna is also a girl that looks forward to her walks. She does pull a bit at the start while walking—something her foster is actively working on—but does eventually settle into a good pace. However, walking at night is sometimes spooky for her. Loud noises and busy streets don't bother her much but anything that casts a shadow makes her hesitant.

Luna has been working on her crate training and has come a long way. She wasn't too thrilled about it at first, but now Luna happily runs to her crate at meal times, doesn't bark or whine while in it home alone and sleeps in it soundly throughout the night. On occasion, she will even enter her crate for a short nap without prompting. She is learning that her crate is her safe space.

Luna is also housetrained and good with kids. She is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed and ready to find her forever home. She's just an absolute sweetheart and would make any family happy.

If you're interested in adopting or learning more about Luna, please submit an application!
