Luna (Courtesy Post) German Shepherd Dog Clarksville, VA

LUNA IS SWEET, CALM, KIND, HOUSE-BROKEN, AND GOOD WITH KIDS, DOGS AND CATS. Luna is a 6-7 year old German Shepherd (as of 7/8/24). She is a very loving girl, extremely well-tempered and dear. Unfortunately, her owners can no longer care for Luna and need to rehome her but do not want her to go to a shelter under any circumstance. So we are doing this courtesy post so that she can stay in her home and be adopted straight from there. She is located in Salemburg, NC, south of Raleigh and east of Fayetteville, but the owners are willing to drive her to a new home. Luna was a puppy mill dog in Louisiana and was rescued from there. She did at one point deal with heartworms but has not had an issue with them since 2020. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and has been on constant flea and tick prevention as well as heartworm prevention. Because she was in a puppy mill, she only grew to about 60-65 lbs. The owners were told that is small for a GSD. Luna loves kids, is mild with other dogs but does have a certain behavior with puppies (she tries to mother them, not aggressive towards them). She is in a home that had another dog, but that dog has found a new home already. Luna does well with other animals, including cats.
