Luna's Story

Come meet Luna, formerly known as Sausage dog! This 9-month-old girl is 35 lbs of energetic energy! She loves standing on your lap, kissing your face, and getting all the treats! She's very affectionate, and we had a great time playing outside in the yard! She was reclaimed last month, but was recently found all alone at the dog park. Kansas Humane Society of Wichita's Adoption Policy

Adoptions are available on a first come, first served basis - no appointment needed. Holds may be placed for a deposit by visiting KHS, or calling 316-524-9196. When you arrive at KHS, let our adoptions counselors know which animal(s) you'd like to meet in our visiting rooms or play yards. We encourage visits by all members of the household, especially kids and other dogs! *Must be 18 years of age or older (or accompanied by an adult) with a current photo ID. Must be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment, and proper care for your adopted companion.
