Meet Luna, a 2-year-old, 30-pound Shih Tzu mix with a loving and playful personality. Luna is a bit larger than a typical Shih Tzu, but that just means more of her to love! She has a soft coat and warm brown eyes that will melt your heart.

Luna loves playing fetch, running laps in the yard, and has a quirky habit of hiding her bones behind pillows and under the bed. She’s crate trained, walks well on a leash, and is making great progress with her potty training, now going to the door when she needs to go out. While she’s still startled by loud noises like the vacuum, she’s improving with time.

Though Luna can do well with other dogs after slow introductions, she had a hard time adjusting to unfamiliar dogs when she was surrendered—through no fault of her own. She would thrive in a calm, pet-free home with a fenced yard, and she would love a homebody who can shower her with snuggles and belly rubs.

We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally we require physically fenced yard for dog/pup to play in safely. Exceptions are sometimes made to this requirement but is up to the foster and more often done for the small breed dogs.

All our dogs will be treated with dewormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations prior to adoption. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption.

We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog, shelter or vet's or best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts.
