Luna is a beautiful 1.5-year-old Lab mix who is quietly stealing hearts. She’s a sweet, gentle, and loyal young dog who is a bit shy at first and needs some time to warm up. Luna didn’t have the best start to her life, but she is learning more every day what it means to feel safe, loved, and cared for — and it’s wonderful to watch her confidence grow.<br/><br/>Luna is not overly energetic, but she does enjoy playtime and truly loves going for walks on a leash. With how happy and focused she is on walks, she would make an excellent walking or running partner for someone who enjoys getting outside together.<br/><br/>She is extremely food motivated (nothing is off limits — even green beans, broccoli, and cucumbers!), which makes training and bonding much easier. Luna does very well during the day while her people are at work or school, and she often chooses to relax inside the crate on her own.<br/><br/>Because so much of the world is still new to her — sounds, people, and experiences — Luna does best with gentle reassurance and patience. Once she knows she’s safe, her sweet personality shines through. She would likely thrive with a younger, playful dog in the home who could help build her confidence and show her the ropes.<br/><br/>Luna truly just needs a chance. With a little time and kindness, she warms up within days and becomes a devoted, loving companion.
